Manuel Restrepo

Manuel is currently Vice-President of Global IT for AIG (American International Group), the largest insurance company in the world, where he has worked since 2003. Manuel founded the Global Center of Excellence in IT for AIG, which he is still in charge of. This center brings together and propagates best practices in the design, development and implementation of innovative business solutions based on best practices and technologies such as SOA, BPM, ERP and CRM. Manuel is also responsible for different regions within AIG in Europe, Asia and Australia.

Prior to AIG, Manuel worked for 9 years for Accenture, leading global IT projects for the financial services sector. He had ad the honor of being appointed in June 2007 by "Computer Business Review” as one of the most innovative IT professionals in the UK. Manuel has a BSc in Computer Science at Trinity University/ Hartford College in Connecticut, USA and a Master of the Okinawa Institute of Technology in Japan.
